Cerebus Bi-Weekly

From 1988 to 1989, Aardvark-Vanaheim published Cerebus Bi-Weekly, a 26-issue series that ran concurrently with Dave Sim’s landmark Cerebus monthly. Written primarily by Denise Loubert and Deni Loubert alongside Sim, and illustrated throughout by Sim, this spin-off gave the spotlight to the series’ supporting cast—including Lord Julius Tavers, Elrod, Artemis Strong, and even the Human Torch and Captain Cockroach—while the main title focused on Cerebus himself. It’s a curious, creator-owned detour that expands the world of the iconic aardvark, offering fans a deeper look at the eccentric players surrounding his saga.
