About the series
Marvel’s Cartoon Humorama (1977–1978) was a four-issue humor anthology that drew on the studio’s fondness for gag cartoons and pin-up art, largely featuring the work of veteran cartoonist Bill Ward. A short-lived but charming detour from Marvel’s superhero output, it collected single-panel jokes and playful illustrations in the tradition of the publisher’s earlier humor titles. The series stands as a minor but affectionate nod to the lighter side of 1970s comics.
