Craig Thompson’s Carnet de Voyage (2018–present, Drawn & Quarterly) is a single-issue travelogue that distills the artist’s sketchbook observations from a European book tour into a raw, intimate visual diary. Written and drawn entirely by Thompson, it captures fleeting moments—people, landscapes, and quiet reflections—with a loose, expressive line that feels more personal than a polished narrative. As a companion to his graphic novel Habibi, it offers a candid glimpse into the mind of a celebrated cartoonist, proving that even the smallest notebook can hold a world of meaning.
