About the series
A short-lived 1950s comic from the small publisher Cleland, Captain Video spun off from the pioneering TV series of the same name, one of the first science-fiction shows on American television. Only four issues were published, making it a scarce artifact of early media tie-in comics. The series is remembered today primarily as a curiosity of the dawn of both television and licensed comic book adaptations.
