Captain Marvel & the Carol Corps

In 2015, Marvel launched this four-issue miniseries spinning out of the events of Secret Wars, where writer Kelly Sue DeConnick and artist David López placed Carol Danvers—now a fighter pilot in the Battleworld domain of Hala Field—at the head of an all-female squadron. DeConnick and later Kelly Thompson crafted a story of loyalty and rebellion, as Carol and her fellow "Carol Corps" pilots navigate a world ruled by a tyrannical Baron. It’s a taut, character-driven military sci-fi adventure that deepened Carol’s leadership role and her bond with a team of women who fight for each other.
