Captain 3-D

During the early 1950s, Harvey Comics briefly experimented with 3-D comics, and Captain 3-D was their sole entry—a single issue from 1953 that paired the legendary creative team of Joe Simon and Jack Kirby. With Kirby handling both writing and art, the series introduced a costumed hero designed to leap off the page through the era's red-and-blue anaglyph gimmick. Though it lasted only one issue, it stands as a fascinating artifact of comics' technological fads and a showcase for two of the medium's most influential talents.
