About the series

In the late 2000s, Image Comics explored the corners of its shared universe with Brit, a three-issue series that fleshed out a minor character from Robert Kirkman's Invincible world. Co-written by Kirkman and Bruce Brown, with a rotating art team of Andy Kuhn, Cliff Rathburn, and Nate Bellegarde, the story centers on a super-strong, taciturn hero whose past is tied to the clandestine agency of Cecil Stedman. While Invincible (Mark Grayson) makes appearances, the focus is on a grittier, more grounded figure operating in the shadows of a sprawling superhero landscape. It's a compact, character-driven spin-off that expands the Invincible mythos without overshadowing its main title.
