Bloodstar

A lavishly painted fantasy epic from Spanish publisher Toutain Editor, Bloodstar (1980–present) is a single-issue graphic novel adapted from Robert E. Howard's unfinished story "The Valley of the Worm." Artist Richard Corben brought his signature, visceral style to this tale of a prehistoric warrior's mystical battle across time, making it a standout artifact of late-70s/early-80s European and American comic crossover. Though brief, the book remains a cult touchstone for Corben's lush, unflinching visual storytelling and its ambitious adaptation of Howard's prose.
