In 2015, Valiant Entertainment relaunched its nanite-infused soldier with a new ongoing series by writer Duane Swierczynski and artists Arturo Lozzi and Manuel Garcia. This run reestablished Bloodshot as a central pillar of the Valiant universe, delving into the character's weaponized origins and the shadowy Project Rising Spirit that created him. Though the series only produced a single issue, it set the tone for the character's subsequent adventures.
