About the series
Based on Chic Young's beloved newspaper strip, Blondie ran as a Norwegian comic series from 1941 to 2024, published by Hjemmet and later Egmont. Spanning 80 issues, the series was most frequently written and drawn by Young, with significant later contributions from writer Anne Fløtaker and artist/writer Knut Eide, alongside artist Jim Raymond. It stands as a remarkably long-running local adaptation, bringing the everyday adventures of the Bumstead family to generations of Norwegian readers.
