About the series
A short-lived but intense Dutch horror series from the mid-1970s, Bloederige verhalen ("Bloody Stories") was published by De Vrijbuiter and later De Schorpioen. Running for only 16 issues, the series is remembered for its unflinching, macabre tales and striking, often gruesome cover art that pushed the boundaries of what was acceptable in Dutch comics at the time. Though its creators are not widely known today, the series remains a cult artifact for fans of European horror comics.
