Blitzkrieg

In 1976, DC Comics launched Blitzkrieg, a five-issue war comic series written primarily by Robert Kanigher and illustrated by a rotating team of Curt Swan, Ric Estrada, and Lee Elias. The series offered a gritty, ground-level look at World War II from the perspective of German soldiers, a bold and unusual angle for its time. Its focus on the human cost of conflict, rather than clear-cut heroes and villains, made it a distinctive entry in DC's war comics line.
