During its 16-issue run from 1948 to 1953, T. V. Boardman’s Blackhawk brought the elite aerial squadron to British newsstands, adapting the Quality Comics classic for a post-war audience. Denis McLoughlin, Reed Crandall, and Al Bryant anchored the art, delivering crisp, action-packed panels of the team’s globe-trotting missions. This short-lived series remains a key piece of the character’s transatlantic publishing history.
