About the series
A nine-issue series from DC Comics, Black Magic (1973–1975) revived the classic, pre-Code horror anthology style with a distinct 1970s edge. Most closely associated with the legendary team of Jack Kirby and Joe Simon, who brought their signature dynamic art and eerie storytelling to many of its tales, the series also featured contributions from Bill Draut. Each issue delivered a collection of standalone supernatural and suspense stories, from vengeful spirits to uncanny curses, offering a dark, imaginative showcase for some of comics' most influential creators.
