Birdland

A surreal, erotic science-fiction series from Glénat, Birdland launched in 1992 with a single issue that remains its only installment. Written and drawn by Gilbert Hernandez, with co-writing from Doug Headline, the story follows a group of musicians and their strange, sexually charged encounters. Though brief, the issue is a cult artifact, showcasing Hernandez's distinctive, expressive linework and his willingness to push boundaries outside his better-known work.
