Brian Joines and artist Bachan take the Wyld Stallyns on a chaotic detour through the underworld in this four-issue series from Boom! Studios, which launched in 2016. After a cosmic screw-up, Bill and Ted find themselves literally going to Hell, turning the afterlife into another excellent adventure of logic-defying escapes and historical cameos. It’s a welcome, ongoing extension of the franchise’s goofy, heartwarming spirit, keeping the duo’s signature surfer-dude optimism alive in the most unlikely of places.
