In the late 1970s, the Swedish publisher Semic revived Captain W.E. Johns’s classic flying ace for a new audience with Biggles (1977–1983). This compact six-issue series adapted the daredevil pilot’s airborne adventures, bringing the beloved character’s wartime exploits to comic form.
