About the series
From 1972 to 1978, Edifumetto published Biancaneve, a 94-issue comic series that reimagined the classic fairy tale through a gritty, adult lens. Scripted primarily by Rubino Ventura, the series was visually defined by the striking, atmospheric work of artists Alessandro Biffignandi, Leone Frollo, and Edoardo Morricone. A standout of the Italian fumetti neri tradition, it pushed boundaries with its dark, psychological storytelling and remains a key example of the era's transgressive, pulp-infused comics.
