Berichten uit Birma (2018–present, Scratch Books) is a single-issue Dutch comic that documents the harsh realities of life in modern-day Myanmar. Drawing on journalism and firsthand accounts, it presents a stark, graphic nonfiction account of the country's political turmoil and human rights struggles. The project is notable for bringing a European comics perspective to a global crisis, highlighting the power of the medium to bear witness.
