About the series
A short-lived, seven-issue series from Antarctic Press at the turn of the millennium, Benzine was a post-apocalyptic action comic fueled by the energetic, manga-influenced art style of its primary creator, Ben Dunn. Set in a world ravaged by catastrophic war, the story followed a young woman named Benzine as she navigated a brutal, desert-like landscape, wielding her skills and a high-powered vehicle against marauders and remnants of a fallen civilization. Though brief, the series captured the raw, DIY spirit of the late-'90s indie boom and stands as a distinctive entry in the publisher's library, showcasing Dunn's signature blend of sci-fi and martial-arts flair.
