Beezer Summer Special

Published annually by D.C. Thomson from 1973 to 2002, Beezer Summer Special collected 30 issues of lighthearted, all-ages comic strips from the popular British weekly The Beezer. Featuring a rotating cast of the title’s signature characters—including the mischievous Dennis the Menace and the Banana Bunch—these oversized summer editions offered a seasonal dose of slapstick, adventure, and humor. While no single creator defined its entire run, the specials serve as a nostalgic showcase of the cheerful, anarchic tone that made The Beezer a staple of British comics for decades.
