About the series
In the late 1980s, Blackthorne Publishing brought the massive, war-torn universe of Battletech to comic stands with a six-issue series that expanded on the lore of the tabletop game. Anchored by the writing of Joe Judt, Lance Hampton, and Patrick Zircher, and illustrated by Cesar Magsombol and others, the series focused on the gritty, political conflicts between Great Houses piloting colossal BattleMechs. It stands as an early, pre-FASA-era attempt to translate the franchise's strategic depth into visceral, panel-by-panel combat, offering fans a key piece of Battletech history.
