About the series
In 2004, Image Comics launched a two-issue miniseries based on the classic anime Battle of the Planets, with writer Munier Sharrieff and artist Wilson Tortosa translating the cosmic team’s adventures into a fresh comic format. While brief, the series brought the iconic G-Force squad—Mark, Jason, Princess, Tiny, and Keyop—to a new generation of readers, capturing the retro-futuristic spirit of the original show. It stands as a compact but faithful tribute to the 1970s phenomenon that introduced many Western audiences to Japanese animation.
