DC Black Label’s Batman: Damned (2018–2019) is a three-issue prestige miniseries from writer Brian Azzarello and artist Lee Bermejo, who previously collaborated on Joker. Set in a gritty, supernatural corner of Gotham, the story follows a wounded Batman as he investigates the death of the Joker, with the line between reality and hallucination blurring. Bermejo’s lush, painted artwork and Azzarello’s noir-inflected script push the Dark Knight into a psychological thriller that tests both his sanity and his moral code.
