Batman
Williams · 1971–1974 · 32 issues
About the series
During the early 1970s, DC Comics’ Batman series underwent a creative renaissance under the recurring pencils of artist Neal Adams. This 32-issue run, published by Williams, grounded the Caped Crusader in darker, more atmospheric stories that moved away from the campy tone of the previous decade. It remains a pivotal era for defining the modern, brooding Dark Knight.
