Bastei-Comic

Between 1972 and 1975, German publisher Bastei Verlag released 19 issues of Bastei-Comic, a anthology series that brought together some of the era's most distinctive Franco-Belgian talents. Writers Patrice Dard, Maurice Rosy, and Vicq collaborated with artists including Raymond Macherot, Henri Desclez, and Marcel Remacle to fill its pages with a variety of lighthearted, often humorous adventure stories. While not a landmark title, the series offers a fascinating snapshot of European comics during a period of creative transition.
