Barbara Wolf

In 2004, Arboris launched Barbara Wolf, a Belgian comic series scripted by François Maingoval and illustrated by Bruno Marivain. The story follows its titular heroine through a single issue, establishing a taut, noir-tinged thriller that remains a self-contained chapter in her world. Though brief, the series showcases Marivain’s moody, expressive art and Maingoval’s knack for tight, character-driven suspense.
