About the series
In the late 1970s, Danish publisher Interpresse brought the beloved, shape-shifting Barbapapa family to comics for an eight-issue run. Based on the original French picture books by Annette Tison and Talus Taylor, the series follows the gentle, blob-like Barbapapa and his colorful clan as they solve problems and explore the world with warmth and whimsy. This short-lived but charming adaptation captures the playful, educational spirit of the Barbapapa phenomenon, offering a unique comic-book glimpse into a pre-school classic.
