Bananaman Summer Special

Bananaman Summer Special is a long-running British annual from D.C. Thomson, collecting the absurd adventures of the dim-witted schoolboy Eric Wimp, who transforms into the caped, banana-powered hero Bananaman after eating a piece of fruit. Launched in 1984 and still going after ten issues, the series is best known for the slapstick art and deadpan humor of its longtime writer/artist, John Geering. A playful, enduring staple of British comics, it captures the silly, pun-filled charm of the character's heyday.
