About the series
Ace Magazines' Baffling Mysteries (1951–1955) was a 22-issue horror and supernatural anthology that plunged readers into eerie tales of the unknown. Regular artists Sy Grudko, Louis Zansky, and Lou Cameron crafted the shadow-drenched visuals for its often-twist-ending stories. Though it ran during the pre-Code era of unfettered comic horror, the series remains a lesser-known but representative example of Ace's genre output.
