About the series
In this two-issue 1996 Image Comics crossover, Brett Booth both writes and illustrates a meeting between the gun-toting, genetically altered operative Backlash (Marc Slayton) and the web-slinger Spider-Man (Ben Reilly). Joined by Sean Ruffner on writing duties, the story also pulls in Eddie Brock and Amanda Reed for a brief but punchy inter-company team-up. It's a snapshot of the mid-90s, when Image heroes and Marvel's Spider-Man briefly shared a universe for a high-energy, no-frills action encounter.
