Aya fra Yopougon

Aya fra Yopougon is a Danish-language edition of Marguerite Abouet and Clément Oubrerie's beloved slice-of-life series, published by Minuskel Forlag in 2012–2013. Set in the 1970s in the working-class Abidjan neighborhood of Yopougon, it follows the everyday adventures, friendships, and dreams of a spirited young woman named Aya. With warm, vibrant art by Oubrerie and Abouet's gently humorous, authentic storytelling, this two-issue release brought a charming and often underrepresented perspective on West African youth to Scandinavian readers.
