About the series
In 2008, Marvel united its golden-age heroes and its modern-day Avengers in a 13-issue miniseries written by Alex Ross and Jim Krueger, with art by Steve Sadowski and Patrick Berkenkotter. The story hurls the original Invaders—Captain America, the Human Torch, Namor, and others—from World War II into the present-day Marvel Universe, where they clash with and must learn to trust their contemporary counterparts.
