Avengelyne

Rob Liefeld and Robert Napton launched Avengelyne in 1999 for Awesome Entertainment, introducing a fallen angel turned monster-hunter in a single, striking debut issue. Illustrated by Liefeld and Dan Fraga, the series blended apocalyptic religious mythology with the over-the-top action and exaggerated anatomy that defined the era's Image-inspired style. Though brief, it established a cult-favorite character who would go on to have a surprising afterlife in later comics and media.
