Avengelyne

From 1995 onward, Maximum Press published Avengelyne, a single-issue series that introduced a fallen angel turned warrior against evil. The book is most closely associated with writer/creator Rob Liefeld, whose high-energy style defined this supernatural action concept. Though brief in its initial run, the series established a memorable heroine who would later return in various forms, marking an early example of the 1990s' fascination with dark, celestial vigilantes.
