From 1996, Maximum Press published this two-issue series, a brief but punchy entry from the Rob Liefeld-driven era of extreme comics. Written by Robert Napton and Rob Liefeld, with art by Andy Park, Ching Lau, and Dan Fraga, Avengeblade delivers the high-octane, visually explosive style that defined the decade. Its short run captures a snapshot of the creator-owned boom, merging Liefeld’s signature energy with a team of artists who would go on to shape 1990s comic aesthetics.
