In 1985, Carlsen Comics began publishing the German edition of Auf der Suche nach dem Vogel der Zeit, a sprawling fantasy epic that follows a young warrior and a disgraced knight on a quest through a perilous, mythic world. Originally crafted by French writers Serge Le Tendre and Régis Loisel, with Loisel also providing the lush, detailed art alongside Dominique Lidwine and later Mohamed Aouamri, the series weaves Celtic-inspired mythology with sweeping adventure. Over its 12-issue run, it became a cornerstone of European fantasy comics, celebrated for its rich world-building and emotional depth.
