Atomium 58

From 1981 to 1990, the Belgian publisher Magic Strip brought readers the French-language anthology Atomium 58, a 27-issue series that showcased a rotating roster of European cartooning talent. Most regularly associated with the title were artists Bézian, Colman, and Émile Bravo, whose work helped define the book's eclectic, often experimental tone. A key outlet for the post-’68 bande dessinée generation, the series captured a transitional moment in European comics, bridging the underground and the avant-garde.
