Atomic Robo

From 2008 onward, Brian Clevinger and Christopher Golden teamed with artist Scott Wegener to chronicle the action-packed adventures of a wisecracking, self-aware robot built by Nikola Tesla. Published by Red 5 Comics, the series follows Atomic Robo as he navigates a century of scientific mayhem, battling mad scientists, giant monsters, and other bizarre threats with a mix of pulp heroism and sharp humor. The first five-issue arc established the character's distinctive voice and Wegener's clean, dynamic art, launching a long-running independent series that combines historical absurdity with clever, character-driven storytelling.
