Atom The Beginning

In Atom: The Beginning (2022–present, Titan Comics), this five-issue series reimagines the early days of the legendary robot Atom—known in the West as Astro Boy—as a prequel to the classic manga. It focuses on the brilliant young scientists Tenma and Ochanomizu during their university years, long before they create the iconic android. The series is written by veteran manga and comics writer Tetsuro Kasahara, with art by EON, and expands on the world of Osamu Tezuka's original creation for a modern audience. Offering a fresh, science-driven origin story, it bridges the gap between Tezuka's timeless vision and contemporary storytelling.
