As Grandes Aventuras

In the late 1980s, the Portuguese publisher Verbo launched As Grandes Aventuras, a short-lived but ambitious four-issue comic series that adapted classic adventure literature into a visual format. Each installment brought a different artist to the project, resulting in a varied but cohesive line of historically-minded comics.
