Arthur le fantôme justicier

In the early 1960s, French publisher Éditions Vaillant launched this short-lived, five-issue series starring Arthur le fantôme justicier, a ghostly vigilante. Written and drawn entirely by the prolific Jean Cézard, the strip offered a playful, supernatural twist on the costumed hero genre. Though brief, the series stands as a distinctive example of Cézard’s inventive, all-ages storytelling during Vaillant’s golden age of bandes dessinées.
