Apache Kid

Marvel's Apache Kid (1950–1956) ran for 19 issues as a Western series following the adventures of the title character, a Native American gunslinger, alongside his sidekick Aloysius Dare. The book was a staple of Marvel's postwar Western line, with art most frequently handled by Werner Roth, Joe Maneely, and Mario DeMarco, who defined the series' rugged, action-driven look. Though not among the publisher's most famous titles, it represents a key era when Marvel (then Atlas) produced a steady stream of genre comics, and the Apache Kid himself remains a notable figure in the company's pre-superhero history.
