About the series
A short-lived but foundational EC title, Animal Fables (1946–1947) ran for seven issues, offering lighthearted, anthropomorphic tales in the wake of the publisher’s early forays into humor and fantasy. Writer Bill Woolfolk and artist Burton Geller were the creative duo most frequently associated with the series, crafting charming animal adventures that predated EC’s later, more famous horror and science-fiction turn.
