Angry Youth Comix

Johnny Ryan’s Angry Youth Comix (2001–2008, Fantagraphics) is a gleefully crude, 14-issue assault on good taste, with Ryan writing and drawing alongside Jenny Ryan. A flagship of the early-2000s alternative-comics scene, it matters for its unapologetically juvenile, offensive humor and its role in pushing the boundaries of what a mainstream publisher like Fantagraphics would release.
