Angry Youth Comix

A raw, deliberately offensive underground comic series from the 1990s, Angry Youth Comix was the solo creation of cartoonist Johnny Ryan. Running for ten issues from 1994 to 1998, the series is a landmark of transgressive humor, defined by its crude, scratchy art and relentless, taboo-shattering gags that pushed the boundaries of good taste. Ryan’s uncompromising, anarchic voice made it a cult touchstone for readers who craved a no-holds-barred alternative to mainstream and even alternative comics of the era.
