Garth Ennis and John McCrea reunited for this 2016 DC one-shot, a scabrous, low-rent reunion of the oddball, D-list superhero team from the Hitman days. True to form, it's a foul-mouthed, cynical, and absurd caper that gleefully mocks the very idea of a superhero team-up, proving that even the most pathetic losers can stumble into a vaguely coherent story. It's a brief, nasty blast of Ennis and McCrea's signature brand of brutal, character-driven comedy.
