Alim le tanneur

A four-issue series from Belgian publisher Boulevard des Bulles, Alim le tanneur ran from 2006 to 2009. Created by writer and artist Jean-Luc Istin, the story follows Alim, a tanner whose craft brings him into contact with the supernatural and the political intrigues of a fantastical medieval world. Its tight, self-contained narrative and detailed artwork make it a distinctive entry in the European fantasy comic tradition.
