Alim de leerlooier

Over four issues from 2007 to 2010, Silvester published Alim de leerlooier, a Dutch-language series written primarily by Gert Jan Pos and Wilfrid Lupano, with Virginie Augustin providing the artwork. The series follows a tanner named Alim, whose craft and quiet life are disrupted by the arrival of a mysterious woman and the political upheavals of the medieval city of Cordoba. Augustin’s warm, expressive linework and the writers’ layered storytelling give this short run a distinctive, character-driven atmosphere. It stands as a notable example of European historical fiction in comics, blending personal drama with period detail.
