About the series
In 1991 and 1992, Malibu Comics continued the story of the hit Alien Nation film and TV series with this four-issue miniseries, The Public Enemy. Written by Men in Black creator Lowell Cunningham and illustrated by Sandy Carruthers, the series explores the gritty, uneasy integration of the extraterrestrial "Newcomers" into human society as a detective duo investigates a conspiracy that threatens both races. It’s a tight, noir-tinged expansion of the franchise’s core premise, tackling prejudice and identity through the lens of a police procedural.
